There has always been a lot of troll activity on Caylee Anthony’s case, but there has been on Haleigh Cummings case, politics, and just about any topic on the internet. Knowledge is power, and the only way you can solve the problem on any forum is to know what an internet troll is. The definition of an internet troll:

All about how to handle internet trolls:
http://trollpolice.com/2009/08/31/forum-trolling-how-to-handle-trolls/
So now you know how to spot trolls and deal with internet trolls and how to handle them from A-Z. You know what their motives are and how they operate, so now we need to use this knowledge so that we don’t feed the trolls and give them the attention and the fighting they so desire. Hope this helps. It did me.
They do this for attention and they do it to hurt others as it makes them feel more powerful and important. If they get no attention, because no one gives them the time of day, they will go away. DON’T FEED THE TROLLS! By even acknowledging them and reading what they have to write you are feeding them. So from now on when you spot an internet troll commenting, ignore, or if you are a blog owner delete and ban, or if you run across an internet troll’s site, leave and don’t go back, and don’t talk about them elsewhere. If you adhere to those simple rules they won’t be successful.
Let’s defeat the the internet trolls. What do you think???

Great post *Niecey,
I fugured ignore was the way to go, but it still makes me leary about commenting on the blogs, because of all the chaos.
Here’s hoping with this advice…..it all ends.
Hey Diana! Thank you. I understand, as I’ve become leery of it too. I guess the greatest advice I can give with the experiences I’ve had and the reading I’ve done is to watch a site for a while before commenting. If there is a lot of bashing or fighting stay away. There are a lot of good sites and on those sites you will never see fighting. The atmosphere will remain gracious as well it should. No one should be afraid to voice their opinions in a respectful manner.
I’m with you my friend, here’s hoping it all ends.
Hi Niecey…Great Post.
I also agree there are a lot of good sites with no fighting and very gracious.
I do hope all will ignore them…jIt really does just feeds them.
Hey Steph! There are. We agree on that. I hope people will take that advice. It will save a lot of people a lot of grief. Life is too short to be all stressed out over people that delight in creating stress.
I read three Caylee blogs regularly, and a couple more irregularly and I can’t even remember once coming across trolls (with the brief exception of mfm). No fighting. No name-calling. It’s quite pleasant actually. I couldn’t take that much drama day after day. Just could not. It would not be worth the time it would take to follow it all. I have my hands full just keeping up with three blogs.
Hey Bees! I know what you mean. It’s best not to put yourself through the stress. Blogging should be a good experience, not a bad one.
Why the heck could I stay out of the arguing for a while and let myself “go there” again? Maybe I need to go to “responding to hatred on blogs anonymous” !!!!!!
Great article and I think a good service to everyone that you supplied the helpful links.
It all boils down to the “d-ego” (digital ego). It can really cause havoc and destruction if allowed.
DO NOT FEED THE TROLLS!
(When I typed that I felt like I was in that scene in Oh Brother where art Thou)
DO NOT SEEK THE TREASURE!
(We thought you was a toooad!!!!)
LOL!
Niecey, in what category would you put the people who, since November have been “trolling”?
Sorry, that is in reference to Bill Schaeffer’s blog.
Words of wisdom, Niecey! That’s why I have an assortment of troll-whacking mallets at my moderation gate.
Hey Linda FNY! LOL! I didn’t know there was such a group. Maybe there should be?
I think the problem with Bill Sheaffer’s blog is that it hasn’t been moderated, thus it became a free for all for any troll that wanted to start it up. I haven’t read the comments closely enough to answer that question. After giving a warm welcome to wordpress, I never commented over there again, and it’s because I saw it start. I won’t comment where that kind of thing is going on. After seeing it start, I decided I wouldn’t comment again. It’s sad that it happened but my guess is that the intent was to cause WFTV to take it down. Just look at Mr. Sheaffer’s 2nd post. I’m sure he was overwhelmed. The person or persons that started that IMO had one motive and that was to destroy that blog.
Hey Valhall! Thank you kindly. I hope that it helps people. I agree that it’s “d-ego”, and it’s really sad.
LOL! Good One!!!
BTW, I don’t always comment, but I do read your blog. You have a wonderful site. Very intelligent and insightful. Very helpful in helping others to understand things they otherwise couldn’t. Kudos for a job well done!
Hey Ostella! I still have the special troll mallets supplied to me by you and Jill and they are forever at my moderation gate as well!
I don’t know what I would have done without them.
Linda FNY, I would say in part Strategic Trolls. After reading over my comment to you above and thinking about what was said when it all started that is my analysis.
Hi Niecey. I thought so to. Strategic. Oh well. Hopefully someday everyone could just get along and agree to disagree. So hard to NOT put you 2 cents in some times. I hated going there and reading page after page of fighting and nastiness. Oh well. I guess I should try harder to ignore and stay out of it. Sad to say today I did not.! LOL I was just tryin’ to understand.
Have a good day and this was an interesting read!
Yes, Vahall had a great series of articles on Casey’s “mentality”.
I think no one will ever truly know what she did to her daughter. She will never admit it. And after she goes to prison for the rest of her life, she will continue to manipulate her family. At least she will be out of our lives, that is after all the books and movies and forensic files type shows run their course!!! haha
Hey Linda FNY. I do hope so. Yes it is. There are some things that are hard to understand. Sometimes it’s best not to try. The best thing to do is not get involved in the blog wars. It’s much more peaceful that way. Thank you and I hope you have a Great Evening.
I agree about Valhall’s writings.
As far as Casey and what she did, I think the State has much more than we know. The Sunshine Law has loopholes, and when this goes to trial I think we will be surprised, but they will most likely tell us exactly what she did. I think when it’s all said and done there may be a movie or 2, maybe a book or 2 more, but I don’t think it will drag on for years. One can only hope it doesn’t.
The trial is soooooooo far away…
Niecey – Nice post, thank you for the information. It is unfortunate that adults can not have conversations without moderation. It would be nice to just be able to read and comment without sorting thru all the dribble.
Hey Ohio Sheryl! Welcome!!! Thank you. It is very unfortunate. It would be nice if we could do that. I must say you can do that here and there are other good blogs you can do that at as well. I have some of the best on my blogroll. Most of the blogs on my blogroll are blogs that are well moderated.
Hi Niecey – thank you for the welcome. I found you from Humble’s blogroll. I do comment on a few sites while only lurking at a few others……..lol.
You are welcome! Humble is a friend of mine. She’s a wonderful person.
Great post! Very informative.
Hey Sophie! Thanks!!
When we see people arguing with each other and calling one another names, sometimes worse that on a fifth grade school bus, I don’t call them trolls. They are just people online and out of control. We saw this a lot on Bills blog as well as many others.
Now if one of those arguing logs in with a different name, (unknown name) just to continue the argument and their sole purpose was to disrupt, bingo, a troll is born. People do get into heated differences of opinion and sometimes it gets carried away. Most of the time it settles down and peace is restored. So a troll can be born out of a simple disagreement just to get back at someone and to disrupt and try to turn others against anyone who has a different view. Saw this on Bills blog as well as many others
From reading Bills blog and I read it very little after the fighting started, I feel it was a haven for normal, maybe a little hot headed people to become trolls. They did this with out even knowing they were trolls IMO.
On other forums and boards involved with the Anthony case there are those who feel Casey is not guilty and will go to any extent to disrupt in any way they can. Once this starts so does the name calling and the next thing is “I’ll sue you for this or that” Well that’s not going to happen as the cost to sue is more than most of us have. Calling the police won’t do much good in most cases although if you know who the troll is and they have threatened you it may help.
Like Niecey has said and the web pages describe, just don’t talk to them, move on to another forum or just lurk for a while. Don’t let yourself get upset because of someone you don’t even know.
BTW, getting someones IP address will do you or anyone no good. It is about equal to have a zip code or area code for someone.
Thanks for the very interesting links Niecey…like John I now understand a little more about the IP address.
I would also like to commend Valhall for her excellent and informative site which I read also but as yet have not commented because currently I have nothing relevant to offer.
I enjoy reading and commenting with the lovely people here at Nieceys who congregate to discuss the tragic murder of little Caylee. Most of you are in bed by the time I read so naturally I cannot engage in a back and forth chit chat [except when I burn the midnight oil during hearings.]
Like everyone I have the right to choose where to read/comment. I choose to ignore any site that allows bickering…this works for me…hope it does for everyone here.
Hugs ♥♥♥
Thank you Niecey, this needed to be said.
Too many are out there to destroy all blogs and forums and we don’t need that at all.
I certainly appreciate all your efforts and always click on
to see your new posts. They are terrific.
Johninflorida….you too are great….I’ve been a fan for quite some time now….and love everything you put up.
Many many thanks.
Hello Jill in Western Austrailia,
Nice to have someone from down under.
I too ignore the trolls…..and have seen many on other blogs as well as forums.
They are out to destroys all that is good. I myself have learned to see them for what they are….either trolls or
people out of control.
I never feed them the attention they demand, I just
move on or leave completely.
Have a wonderful, sunny day.
Hey John! I think you hit on some very good points there. Sometimes trolls are born without intention and as you and some of the links above state those don’t even know they are trolls. Many times I think people do misunderstand what another person meant. It’s much easier to do this when you can’t see the expression on someone’s face, or hear the tone of their voice. We live in a society where we conduct our politics and many times these cases in a way that it’s more like rooting for football teams. The truth is it’s much better to weigh the facts, but people still tend to pick sides and teams, thus the competition begins.
The fact that it’s so easy to misunderstand what a person writes is exactly why I always address someone in a friendly manner to start. Whether I agree or disagree I don’t want them to feel attacked. I think it’s important to be ever so careful not to come across as attacking someone for their point of view. I do believe you can disagree respectfully. I have had people get in arguments and say things they shouldn’t on occasion because they misunderstood and when it was laid out to them in a nice way, they quickly calmed down and apologized. Those are not trolls. You and I both agree people should watch a site for a while before commenting. Lurking is not wrong. I will never comment at a site that is constantly at odds, but no site is free from an occasional misunderstanding. It’s how it’s handled that’s important and whether or not it’s on going. Thanks for explaining the IP situation as well. I appreciate you pointing that info out.
Hey Jill! You’re welcome. As I said Knowledge is power. I learned a lot finding all of that to bring to you.
Isn’t Valhall’s site awesome? She’s so talented.
I always enjoy conversing with you. We have quite a group of friends.
I agree that is what works. Stay away from the bickering to start with.
HUGS!!!
Hey Sanny! You are welcome. I think it did too(need to be said). I hope it helps everyone to get control of the bickering. You are right there are too many with that intent and they can only achieve that goal if we let them. You are very wise. Very wise, see them for what they are and move on, not giving them the attention they crave. Thank you very much. JIF does have a great site. Doesn’t he? He’s always so helpful too. I agree. Thanks John!
Have A Wonderful Day Sanny!
Neicy,
Your Blog and your writing style measures up to the standards and values you believe in as a person and as a writer. Like you, It’s A Mystery To Me, The Hinky Meter and Blink on Crime tackle the hard evidence with objectivity, stye and grace. An awful lot of time and effort goes into presenting the evidence and analysis in the hope that it engages, entertains and informs the reader. Could we ask for anything more?
It is abundantly clear to anyone who visits these sites that everything is open for meaningful discussion. If we are unsure about the evidence and its implications, we can ask clarifying questions.Thoughtful people question the analysis and often times suggest alternatives and differing outcomes while drawing conclusions when warrented, but with caution. Everyone is welcomed into the thinking circle where it is safe, comfortable and where free expression is encouraged.
TROLLS come from Blogs that do not celebrate another’s opinion, or have standards and values that are in alignment with the way in which civilized people interact with one another in the real world.
I have run into some troll issues in the past.
The strategy that works best for me is:
1) Find a site where the author has the same opinion you do. People of like minds congregate together. If you comment on a site that you know does not share your opinion, be ready to read and accept harsh commentary.
2) Find a site where the author does not allow name-calling or grade school bickering. We are all adults and should be able to have an intellectual conversation without resorting to childish tactics.
3) Welcome opinions in comments that are contrary to your own. There could be something to them. It’s easy to get wrapped up in your own “rightness”, which blinds you to the uniqueness of others’ viewpoints. It’s like the blind spot in a car. You may not be able to see the car in the lane you are trying to pull into, but your kid in the back might, so you should listen when they yell “Watch Out!”.
4) State your view once. If others respond in a hostile manner, there is no need to respond. You already said what you wanted to say. If you need to clarify, clarify. But once you repeat your initial statements, you invite others to repeat their hostilities.
These rules are really to address my personal weaknesses. But I find that if I follow them, I either don’t find trolls or they quickly tire of me.
correction: line 15: …..not in alignment with the way in which civilized people…
Hey Boston! Good to see you. Thank you very much. You have placed me in very good company (some of the best), and I’m honored. It is always safe to voice an honest opinion here and on any of those sites. No one is ever 100% right, and we all have something to bring to the table. I’m glad to know you feel safe and you are.
You are right on about the Trolls.
Neicey, most of you know I have been away for several months, first due to a move, then due to the murder of my son. I am back at work on Caylees page and hope you will visit and post links there from time to time. We are up to over 25,000 members now. May we find Justice for all.

I got ya Boston.
Hey Spacely! Very good rules to live by in cyberspace. I think you’ve set yourself up for success there. Of course you do have a wonder twin that gets the inside scoop when you don’t, and that helps a lot.
Seriously, I do like your strategy.
Hey SJ! It’s good to see you. I hope you are doing well. I’ve been praying for you. I’m sorry for your loss. I so admire your courage to fight for justice. I pray that we do find justice for all. Thanks for the link.
Nicey – excellent article, references, and advice.
Thanks.
Sorry – Niecey
Hey Acey! Welcome!!!
Thank you. I hope it helps.
great info, Thanks to all who added thier thoughts. I have complimented nicey in the past for haveing a site w/such great friends.
John/Jill good insight…Linda, as to understanding anothers mind/reasons/ideas, maybe best to let that alone. I once was very in-love, was working so hard at understanding,
ladies i really was doing all I knew to do. I believed if only I could understand his thinking then “all” would be well. I prayed for understanding and suddenly I recieved what I asked for. It was like a window into ??? It was like a black hole with ‘thoughts and ideas in thier I never wanted to see. I backed out quickly. Now some of you may think I am a nut and others may understand. Yes Knowledge is power but ..!
Hey Cali Patti! Thanks!! You are right that sometimes it’s better to have understanding of how to deal with people than understanding of why they do what they do. Some things are best that we don’t understand why, but how to deal with them. Good point! We can be lost and submerse ourselves with what we shouldn’t by trying to understand, when it’s better to just understand how to deal with it. I would never think you were a nut. I understand completely.
Cali Patti-Being cautious and aware of our surroundings on the Internet is important. If our comments are motivated by the best of intentions and appropriate language is used there should be no need to feel uncomfortable. If we feel that there are no tacit forms of intimidation, threats or fear we can feel confident that nothing untoward will happen to us. Be very careful and listen to that pesky inner voice that warns us that “trouble” just entered the room.
Here is something to keep in mind when using boards and forums. I have said this over and over and will say it again. Watch what you put in print about yourself. You may talk day by day and over a week, month or more you reveal many things about yourself and your family. You do this in casual talk with others and for a troll this is fuel.
Before you realize it you have told where you live, how many are in your family, their ages, schools and work places. You may by talking about places near you revealed not only the town but the neighborhood you live in or even a street. A smart person with just that and first names can, through tax records find out who you are and where you live.
Trolls look for that. It all stays in print for ages and can be searched on Google. If you used an email address on a forum years ago it can be found. Then the troll starts to harass you by posting all of what you would call private information. You call it private but it was you who made it public.
As a test, try Googling little bits of information about yourself and see what comes up, you may be surprised!
Thank You for the info. Afraid I may have caused some to consider me as one of the trolls. Stepping back, reading, and trying hard present self in a better light.
niecey,i am moved, all works out great!
and to the trolls, the trolls troll out of controll, but i dont really care about them,i ignore them!
see ya soon!
Hey Boston! Good advice. We should always listen to that little voice inside and it will keep us from getting involved in things we shouldn’t. I call that little voice intuition and conscience. It works both ways. It’s God given and a great indicator.
Hey John! Great advice! In our quest to show people we are real and make friends we do make mistakes in sharing way too much information. We also have this misconception that because we have “off topic” pages that no one but our friends read them. Mine is the coffee shop. I have 3 other pages to address subjects that are near and dear to my heart, that I don’t always blog on. Unless you have password protected pages or a password protected blog, anyone can read, and even that’s not fool proof, because sometimes we trust people we know nothing about. It’s like I said about Lyon’s seminar, if she didn’t want it out in the public, she shouldn’t have said it at all. Same rule of thumb applies to anything you do or say in public, and the internet is public. Folks need to think about that.
Hey Marcia! Welcome!!! You are welcome. I’m not quite sure why, but I hope it works out. I have no preconceived notions about you. You are welcome here.
Hey Mikka! I’m so glad! How you liking the new place? Hope all is well for you. We miss you when you are not around.
That’s the right thing to do. Ignore them. Great to have you back.
Thank you all. I was concerned that I had went to far in my comment. John, you are so right. I often pick “things up” in others conversations, would have liked to warn them however then I would have made ALL aware of what was just said, so I keep quiet.
Niecey, I apologize for comtinually mispelling your name.
Hey Cali Patti! You are welcome. Nope you didn’t go too far. No need for apology, it happens.
I make typos, we all do.
Hi Niecey…Just wanted to come by and say hi!
Hey Steph! How are you?
I am good Niecey…Waiting to hear some information on baby Gabriel. How are you?
Doing great! I’ve been following that one. I wish they could get some kind of break in the case.
niecey, miss you too,and all fellow bloggers!
for now i have no much time, furniture comes monday,my cabel for tv and internet tuesday.for now i use my aircard for the internet!
by the way colorado is beautiful, its sunny and spring weather like!
will be back next week in full force! see ya!
Hey Mikka! Glad to know things are going well. Enjoy. Look forward to having you back.
Hi Niecey, mikka, Stephanie, everyone! Have you read Valhall’s piece “The Dark Side of Caylee’s Life?” It is very thought-provoking to say the least. The information about Caylee’s skull needs to be addressed at trial. The things we don’t yet know . . .
Southern, welcome back. I had not heard the terrible news about your son. How old was he? Did he live with you or was he out on his own? I don’t even know what to say other than to keep God close beside you and lean on Him with all your weight. I am so sorry.
Hey Bees! That is a very thought provoking article. I agree that information needs to be addressed. I’ve believed for quite a long time that Casey just didn’t snap one day, but that Caylee was an abused child. JMO, based on the pics and things I’ve seen and read over time.
Great advice for SJ.
Good Morning Neicey and Friends-
It’s nice to know that no Trolls come here and if they do, you as a moderator make them vanish and allow a centered and intelligent conversation to be the order of the day.
Boston, I’ve been blogging here for at least a year and with the exception of one troll I’ve never witnessed any disharmony, you’re right.
Let’s talk about the upcoming fraud case. Who here thinks she’s going to plea that one? That seems to be what most predictions are. As long as it all happens before the murder trial and she’s a convicted felon at the end of it. I know Strickland was reminding everybody to keep their calendars free (or something like that) but I still expect Lyin’ and Baez to remand it ~ they’ll need more time for some reason or another.
Also coming up on Feb. 1st they can finally share their secret knowledge of Casey’s innocence with us. Finally! I CANNOT wait to hear their “proof.”
Good Morning Boston! That’s my mission. As Bill O’Reilly has “The No Spin Zone”, I have the No Troll Zone.
Occasionally I’ve had someone turn, but I act quickly on that. I can’t see arguing with them. That’s feeding the trolls. I don’t like to do it. I would prefer to keep a safe, and intelligent environment.
Bees, I prefer to keep a good environment for discussion. I thank you and Boston both for the compliment. I don’t want any of you to feel uncomfortable here.
I think she most likely will plead that one at the last minute, although I could be wrong, I think it would be a wise move to plead it out. They may try, but I don’t see the check fraud being backed up any longer.
As far as February, that was the point of them playing the Kronk’s exes card. I think that was the sole purpose. The videos from my understanding are not admissible as they were not under oath and I thought I heard they could have been coerced. I think it was stated that it couldn’t be proven that they were not.
I’d like to think that she would plead out or just be convicted for the Fraud and take her punishment. I think Judege Strickland is very keen on punishment whether it comes by way of a plea or a short trial. Either way she could be looking at close to 6 years from what I have read but it could turn out to be a lot less.
Bees what’s your take on sentencing. I know it’s been discussed and the charges have been reduced but I never took too much pass to this issue beyond what happened in court.
My “gut” feeling is that sometime prior to the February hearing Casey will finally realize that Jose is not her kinda guy. I am sure Mr and Mrs Anthony’s hands were tied and she couldn’t or wouldn’t take their advice relative to getting a new attorney.
I cannot see either Cindy or George sitting idly by and listening to one thing Jose has to say about the strategy he intends to present at trial. They may be out of control parents with enormous emotional and psychological issues but they are the only ones on the planet who know Casey better than anyone else. George will never have an opportunity to walk Casey down the aisle but who would want to walk their daughter to the death chamber?
I am sure that Mr and Mrs Anthony are privy to a lot more information than what has been published and I would hazard a guess that they are begging the dreamteam to offer alternatives which do not involve the death penalty.
Boston, I’m not sure if they can convince her to out the “dream team” or not. I’m thinking some of the bread and butter has been orchestrated by some “friends” of the “dream team”. Like in the beginning the notorious Todd Black, the Never Lose Hope Foundation, and more. There were some pretty shady start up characters, and I’m thinking they were “friends” of a certain circle. If that’s true, then they all have something on each other. Just like I think if D. Casey turns, he will bring down the ship. No one can totally pin point it all as so many of the circle have faded in and out, but I don’t think they can turn. JMO.
I do see a plea deal as likely, but not concrete.
I foresee Jose getting another heart/gastro/intestinal/ulcer attack the day of the check fraud trial which will require a delay and reschedule. Or George will show up in a court with a six pack of beer and a lengthy multi-page farewell note as he threatens to end it all by jumping from the ledge of the one-story window. Or Cindy will faint at the beginning because she “has not eaten or slept in years”.
There will be teeth-gnashing, clothes tearing, and cries of “if the state could do this to her, they could do this to anyone!!”.
On the other hand, I am predicting unprecedented sales of hot dogs, pretzels, and soda from local vendors. And a possible upswing in the demand for Spicy Peanuts from local convience and grocery stores.
I do believe dear Baez will be admitted the weekend prior with tummy trouble. Wonder if Lyon will cry and call the jury killers for a warm up?
Lyon is currently conducting an exhaustive search to find a jury of 12 Tommy the Pinball Wizards – those 12 deaf, dumb, and blind kids sure play a mean pinball – cause they will not have heard any of the mean things she has said about jurors in the past and won’t notice when she throws another tantrum in court.
The last thing George will say before jumping is that the media follows him everywhere and he could not even perform this one private act in a public setting without a hundred cameras filming his every move. At least, that is the plan. What is more likely to happen is that as he drones through his novelette of sorrow, Cindy will push him out the window… accidentally. He will, of course, attempt to strip his shirt off on the way down so his tattoo will be viewable in all its glory as he plummets the 6 feet to the sidewalk.
Cindy will then show off her new George’s ashes earrings and charm bracelet. But like she says, she can’t be sure they are really George’s ashes because she still has people looking in Puerto Rico. She will ridicule the first reporter to bring to her attention that George is outside on the sidewalk by performing a rant about the media always twisting everything she says.
Jose and Andrea will take advantage of the misdirection to bring in David Copperfield, who will make KC dissappear. They will blame Zanny in the aftermath.
I was just over at the foundation site. Did you know they had a Caylee plane searching for Caylee? Okay it was hydroplane, (and they had a hydroplane race) and it was dedicated to helping find Caylee and Milstead’s name is in the link:

Kidfinder’s Exteme Search and Rescue logo on it too:

They had a hydroplane race on Lake Alfred a month before D. Casey was in the woods. Trying to figure out how this was helping to find Caylee.
Kidfinder’s Extreme Search & Rescue is claiming all members are NASAR certified:

NASAR is:

Found all of this interesting. Makes you wonder why they never search for anyone.
Spacely!!! “George will show up in a court with a six pack of beer and a lengthy multi-page farewell note as he threatens to end it all by jumping from the ledge of the one-story window. ” HA HA HA HA!!! It’s all seriously fuuuuuunny!
Niecey, that’s all a little bizarre isn’t it? It just seems like George and Milstead are buying themselves some big boy toys with the Fraudation’s money. What next? Maybe a hang glider? It would be invaluable in searching for missing children up in the clouds. George could sail like a bird all around Orlando feeling the air tickling his face, sharing the space with eagles.
LOL! Bees!
Exactly. I was a bit amused by that one. So obvious. It never ceases to amaze me. I don’t even want to ask what next.
ROTFL!!!!!!!!
I just about lost it with Spacely’s visions, and then the hanglider did me in!
HA HA HA HA HA!!! There’s just so much to laugh at. An embarrassment of riches really. LOL!

3. On Call 24/7 To Assist Law Enforcement.
We will go to where the police are really looking and park the boat on a trailer and collect money making it look like we really do something. It’s free money so we will do it 24/7.
Sick, sick the whole idea someone can do this and get away with it makes me sick.
Isn’t that the truth, John? It’s galling for sure. And there’s not a flicker of shame on their faces while they do it. In fact their hand is out for more.
Hey Eggy! I know what you mean!
Yes, Bees an embarrassment of riches for sure!
Hey John! I think you spelled that out quite well. I’m amazed that it’s tolerated myself. What’s even more amazing is that people donate to them. They never cease to amaze me. I can’t imagine what makes people like that tick, okay, greed.
They’re won’t be either Bees. They have none. The hand will stay out too. Sad and yet sick. I think it blows it for legitimate charities at times as they make people so suspicious. All bogus charities do.
Just a quick drop by to say Hi Niecey. Going to go catch up on some reading.
Hey Ohio Sheryl! Glad you stopped by.
John-I went to that link.
I have never paid much attention to anything about this case when it involved money but have been saddened to learn early on in the investigation that the victim’s pictures and videos were sold and money paid to the Anthony estate. I can understand the temptation of money for the Anthony’s. Prior to Caylee’s death Casey drained accounts, used credit cards and commited bank fraud long before she stole Amy H. checkbook. According to D. Fanning, Casey drained her parents of close to 45K. I can understand the need for money when your daughter is looking at mounting a defense for Felony Murder. It’s tough to walk away from 250K knowing the stakes are so high.
The link. Extreme whatever it is, is nothing but a half hearted attempt to get money from unsuspecting volunteers. I think it is a tax shelter for someone.
They do not do a criminal check on anyone who comes into the organization (this is costly). At the outset you are required to pay a fee simply for filling out the application. It does not guarentee your acceptance as a volunteer. They state that they have a Human Resources office. If they had an HR office they would never ask people to divulge sensitive information on the internet. No reputable nonprofit operates in this fashion. They say that they have equipment, horses, etc. and take no responsibility if you should be harmed or have your property stolen. What about the malcontent who comes on site with a hand gun or who rumages through handbags while others are looking for the missing person? Does the Red Cross, the Mercy Organization, The Salvation Army, etc place their volunteers in this kind of jeopardy?
Every single person who volunteers or who rings a bell for the Salvation Army at Christmas time is paid a living/hourly wage and goes through the vetting oprocesss.is The American and International Red Cross as well as all reputable nonprofits in the business of helpting to save lives during wartime, natural disasters vet everyone in the organization thoroughly. Example: If, for instance you want to go to the Mercy Organization and help those in Hiati, you are asked to go to the corporate headquarters in Oregon and begin the vetting process. You cannot sign up online and instantanneously become a volunteer.
What does Nascar have to do with anything?
Mr and Mrs Anthony have tax exempt status now that they run a nonprofit. There are rules and laws demanding a true accounting so time will tell what they have done with the money. Once they become the CFO or align themselves with the nonprofit they automatically get a salary. That’s what bothers me. I wonder if they have an HR office?
Hey Boston! Excellent Points! Just to clarify something, I mistook that for NASCAR at a point too, but it’s not, it’s NASAR which stands for National Association For Search & Rescue.
I think you hit on some very interesting points about the sign up and the process. I really can’t add a thing to that. Very well said!
As far as the A’s and the temptation, I can see it too, but I think they went to the Extreme(pun intended) with their associations and activities on this point. You are right on that, time will tell with the non-profit status as they have to account for it, yet they do make salaries, don’t know if they will achieve much of anything, but again time will tell. Of course I think we all have KF’s pegged. They are not fooling anyone, and the A’s are very involved with them.
“They do not do a criminal check on anyone who comes into the organization (this is costly).”
Boston, they, (the Milsteads) who run that search site are convicted criminals themselves. They have quite a rap sheet. They are experts at scamming the public.
Hey John! Soooo True! Well Said!
John and Neicey-This was the first time I have had an opportunity to actually look at that site and I was appalled. I know that you both have been right on target when, in the past, you discussed the machinations of those who would profit from the death of a child. That child of course was the granddaughter of the victim and the mother of the accused. It was and is my goal to keep my “eye on the prize” so to speak. All I really want is the successful prosecution of the one and only person who commited the murder of this innocent child.
It is not beyond my ability to feel true empathy for Mr and Mrs Anthony for the loss of their darling grandchild. It is in the spirit of this loss that I try to afford them the understanding and consideration that victims of crimes all so often need.
What would upset me is if Casey is expecting them to pay for her defense. That would make me reconsider my support of the family. I have no regard for the defense team. I don’t care what they do now or in the future. I would never purchase a book or look at a movie that they had any part of. I cringe when I see Jose Baez in the courtroom or on the street giving an interview. If there was any defendant who needed an honest and straight forward advocate it was Casey Anthony. She deserved the very best and because of her impulsivity and the meaninglessness that she felt towards the crime and her victim she landed Jose Baez. She was a winner when she hired him.
The one and only reason that her appeal will be heard and possibly won will be on ineffective counsel. She’ll win and we will be at this again. That burns me. I just couldn’t take that. And to think that generous and unsuspecting people paid for it just makes me want to cry out loud.
Ok, first of all, it’s not nice to make fun of Cindy for rifling through volunteers’ purses – donations don’t just plop into the bucket by themselves!!
Second, it’s just like George always says – EXTREME is all about helping people… as long as they have enough cash… to pay for billboards and fliers and T-shirts and dolls… assuming your kid is cute enough to pull in more money from such activities… and is in the water or on an ATV trail… and if you don’t mind eating a lot of bass… and you’re cool enough to accept criminals like the Milsteads running your campaign…
Third, they do have an HR department, but it is not what you think. It’s the department of Her Rosey… as in… Her Rosey Butt Didn’t Do It… Her Rosey Sh*t Don’t Stink… Her Rosey Lies Are True… etc, etc… you get the idea…
Fourth, excellent clarification about NASCAR, but G and Dennis are in the market for a used NASCAR racing car in good condition… to carry out searches for missing kids at race tracks and drag strips…
And finally, it takes more than an internet application to become a full-fledged EXTREME volunteer… they also need your bank account numbers and PINS, your credit card accounts, and any extra blank signed checks you may have lying around!!!
PS Love the idea of a hang glider, but I believe snowboards and parachutes are next up on the purchasing list for our intrepid searchers – they are going to jump out of helicopters and board their way to the bottom of the Aspen ski slopes searching for any lost kids on the way.
You know Boston, I totally understand what you are saying. Sadly the click surrounding that are not on the up and up. It’s a crying shame, and I do believe that one day they will have some explaining to do, and it won’t do any good. The Milsteads have a wide range of businesses and they are always on a new venture. That is the A’s chosen circle of friends. It was not forced. It’s a shame that Caylee became their granddollars, instead of their granddaughter.
LOL! Spacely!!!
I think you clarified that quite nicely. You cannot forget that they were searching on that cruise too. Always on duty. You know? I’ve even heard that they were searching at the tattoo parlor.
Spacely-It’s interesting that the application stops on page one with your answer relative to wanting to pay the $25.00. I did not fill out the application but I would assume that if you were willing to pay the fee than I would agree that they would have to have information from your debit or credit card. What I found even more revolting was the link above the application outlining what volunteers were suppose to do while on a “MISSION”. Oh, boy. They should comport themselves to promote the “perception” that they represent an organization that is guided by the best of intentions or with the highest standards imaginable. Such a lot of bullcrap. Think about how Frank on Everyone Loves Raymond would say that. (I didn’t have the heart to put bullcrap in caps). You get the idea…
Neicey-We are told over and over again and quite recently about the number of scams that are generated either online or through our email accounts. We are asked not to give to these organizations and instead to stay with the mainstream, bonified relief organizations that have a proven tract record for doing good and abiding by the laws governing nonprofits.
The Milsteads/KidFinders and their ilk should not be allowed to have access to the internet in order to simply separate hundreds of people from $25.00 That’s really all they are doing.
I do agree with you Boston. I find it so sad, as to me they are an example of human vultures feeding off of the misfortune of these children. They are marketing services they don’t deliver. I’ve read more than one bad review on them from people that needed their help. I find that to be completely repulsive. To me the fact that the A’s are calling them their friends and being a part of that organization speaks mountains. Sad, but true.
Amen to that! Why would the Anthony’s waste their time with small fry who are known to LE? Wouldn’t being associated with criminals be unsavory and offputting to victims of crime?
It has been known for well over a year or more that the Anthony’s sold the rights to the Nursing Home Video and pictures of Caylee long before they made the association and called any of these scam artists “friend”.
What would motivate anyone to sell the possessions of their dead grandchild? Do we normally sell our husbands clothes when he dies or place dead children;s toys and bikes at a yard sale? It might be appropriate if the parents are attempting to pay hospital costs for a child who died from a terminal illness but surely we hope that no parent would have to do this. Fundraisers are held routinely and Boston Children’s Hospital would never leave grieving families to sell mementos in order to pay medical bills. At the end of the day it is never appropriate imo to sell the possessions of a deceased child to anyone. Is it even proper to defend those who would defend the Anthony’s in this regard? I think not.
As John Cleese often says, “say no more, say no more”.

Ah, John. I’m dying. Too funny! Especially finding kids in space and their new train purchase. HA HA HA!!!!
It’s true, Spacely!!! Don’t laugh. When a child first goes missing, the police, the media and the community all rally together to seach the bottom of the Aspen ski slopes. They MUST purchase snowboards in order to do so!
Boston, I think when it’s all said and done, that one or more of the money grubbers surrounding this case, will do a tell all book or movie. Remember they turned on a few of them, and so many are in the Entertainment industry. Now, with that said, of course legally some testimony will be revealed at trial, or something of that nature. All I’m saying is at one point I think the story behind that will come to light. JMO.
LOL! John, I think that says it! That was one of my favorite parodies that you’ve done.
Bees, I think between Spacely and John, they have covered all of the possible ways they can and will search for the missing. You just never know where they could be hiding.
Neicey-If I may, I would like to make a comment relative to Sad Little Internet Trolls. I have taken the time to go over to Mr Shaeffer’s Blog and have “seen” the trolls being mindful of their responsibilities as posters as well as have read comments inserted by Craig from WFTV stating that certain remarks will not be tolerated.
I am sure Craig appreciates the efforts of both Valhall and Maura in helping to set the tone as well as center the discussion on the evidence. Bill is probably more than pleased that two fantastic writers who are so enormously talented can analyze the evidence (scientific and forensic) and present it in such a way that is “all inclusive”-every answer to every question is always an effort to inform and teach. No one walks away feeling less of a person but with a new insight and possibly a new way of thinking. That’s a gift.
Hey Boston! Thanks for the report! I’m glad that it’s under control on Mr. Sheaffer’s site. It’s long over due. I hope that now he can make his analysis and there will be great conversation. It is truly a gift for everyone to get along. Always is.
I’m very glad! Kudos to Craig. I do agree that it’s great they have some really talented writers chiming in. Don’t know much about Maura’s (will have to check it out), but Valhall is very talented.
I met Maura on a Blog that was popular once. She was one heck of a powerful poster-she knew how to analyze the evidence in a straight forward way and she was/is such a stickler for detail. There was a disagreement on the blog and Maura left. We all asked her to return but she never did. Once in a blue moon she will go over to that blog and make a clarification, etc.
I often see her doing the same thing over at The Hinky Meter and Blink on Crime-these three woman respect each other intellectually and a clarification or a correction between them is always welcomed with such thanks and never a hint of acrimony.
