So many of the mothers that keep making the news these days, whose children go missing or were abused, even murdered, have so many excuses or downright lies to tell, yet the underlying truth in their stories is that they put themselves before their children, whether they actually harmed them or allowed someone else to. It is mind-boggling how much of this selfishness there is these days. Every time we turn around there is a child missing, that went missing under very suspicious circumstances surrounding their lives and their parents, in many cases their mothers. I think they get so much attention because any female can have a baby but it takes a real woman to be a mother. No one can understand how a woman can carry a child, give birth and just not give a damn. How do these dastardly females become so selfish that they cannot even achieve a maternal bond? It boggles the mind. It makes most of us so angry and so sad at the same time.
We have seen how real mothers act when their child is harmed, goes missing or even dies. We have had many examples of that, sadly. For those of us that are mothers and even those of us that are grandmothers, we know how much we love our children and how we have protected them. We have seen how a loving mother behaves in those instances, but more and more lately we just keep seeing the Casey Anthonys, Elizabeth Johnsons, Deborah Bradleys, Julia Biryukovas, etc., etc. These are the mothers that cannot get past themselves, their partying, promiscuous life styles, in some instances even just their anger and hatred and they appear on the news, or the internet every time we turn around, because it is not about their precious babies. It is about them (in their own minds) and what they were and are entitled to (selfish to the core). Their children paid a high price for their selfishness. When we read and hear about their stories we realize their children were doomed to start with, because they never had the love that a real mother has. How tragic for those precious babies.
The good news is every now and then the media does pick up on a story of a courageous mother that loves and protects her child at all costs, unlike some of these so-called mothers that keep making the news. I am about to share a story of a very courageous young mother who is truly a good and loving mother and I’m glad the media picked up on her story. This story is already a few weeks old and so some of you may have already read or heard about it, but I just had to write about it, as it is refreshing to read about a young mother that loves her child the way a mother should, A REAL WOMAN, A REAL MOTHER.
Sarah McKinley lost her husband on Christmas Day, due to lung cancer. She was left with a small newborn baby at only 18 years old. Apparently a 24-year-old man by the name of Justin Shane Martin had been stalking her and he and his pal 29-year-old Dustin Louis Stewart decided to break in her home. The motive is said to be prescription drugs, but since Mr. Martin had been stalking her……Who knows? At any rate the two bad guys decided to break in her home, so while she did have the door locked, she also barricaded the door, called 911 and had two guns in her hands. It took the dastardly duo approximately 20 minutes to break in the door and when Mr. Martin came through the door, Sarah shot and killed him. The case was investigated and it was found that Sarah did nothing wrong (which was the RIGHT decision), but Mr. Stewart was charged with First Degree Murder for Mr. Martin’s death and rightfully so. It is refreshing to see a bit of justice. Mr. Martin had a large knife in his hand when he came through the door, so neither of the men had any good intentions and Sarah did the right thing.
Sarah does not consider herself a hero, just a mother protecting her baby. What a stark contrast to the dastardly females that keep making the news for being trashy, selfish human beings that have no love or even compassion for their babies. Sarah’s baby is lucky to have such a good mother.

/ January 19, 2012Very good story. After reading so many stories over the years where mothers allowed their children to be hurt, this is a uplifting change of pace. I am sorry a life was lost, but she did what she had to do to protect her family. After everything that woman has been through she deserves nothing but good from here on in.

I agree Britt. It is nice to read about a mother that loves her child, as opposed to all of the terrible stories of mothers that neglect, abuse and some even kill their children.

Sarah was indeed very brave. given her husband just dying and this nut possibly stalking her i dont know how she ramined so calm…….but i still think its a sad state of affairs that she had to call 911 to see if it is justified to shoot a nut job on drugs who has a knife, breaking into your trailer/house.
In my state it probably would have been sarah charged instead.
side note: this case brought out the loons too……….people doing everything from claiming that sarahs baby was actually the guy she shots………to ‘friends’ of the dead guy claiming he was there ‘legally’ to evict her from the trailer. by breaking down her door, and carrying a knife. lol

/ May 5, 2012Glad you found it. It is sad to have to ask permission to defend your child and yourself. It is a shame that could be considered a crime in any state.
I’m sorry this case brought out the loons, but I must say I am not surprised. I hope that it has not caused Sarah or her baby any pain. I wish the gossips would leave well enough alone and quite trying to try to make themselves somehow surperior by trying to put things there that are not.

‘should have fired a warning shot’ or ‘should have knee capped him’ or ‘she had no idea what his actual intentions were’.

/ May 5, 2012I thought he made good points about defending your own, Israel, Obama and the UN. I ran across this video after viewing some other high-profile people’s videos speaking out on political issues. Sorry if it was offensive, but I do think he nails down the issue of defending your own.
I had not heard all of the rhetoric about this case, after the fact. I thought Sarah did the right thing and that was that. I think sometimes people get a bit too carried away with trying to read things into situations, when the situations speak for themselves. Especially since from all I have read on this case, the guy had been stalking her prior. He and his pal intended to cause harm, period.

another one of my favorites is ‘all he had is a knife.’ oh so i guess she should just throw her gun down then lol.
just love these people who know for sure exactly what they’d do in that situation. yet these are the same idiots who wonder why elizabeth or sarah maynard didnt run.
you do what you do to survive…….some people take diffrent measures depending on the situation.
but you cant argue the results either way.
